About this product
This Irwin auger drill bit measures 10mm in diameter with an overall length of 191mm and a working length of 114mm, suited to general wood boring including coach bolts, dowel work, cable routing and medium to large fastener applications in carpentry and joinery.
A single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smooth, accurate finish, while the solid centre adds rigidity to reduce deflection when boring. The self-feeding screw point speeds up boring in both soft and hard woods.
The hexagon shank resists slipping in a drill chuck or bit extension, and the body is fully hardened from tip to shank for durability.
