Terms of use

PriceCompass is an information service. No goods are sold through this site, no payment is taken, and no accounts are held. All purchases are made on the retailer’s own website and are governed by that retailer’s terms, not by these. By using this site you accept the terms set out below.

Affiliate relationships

Most links to retailers are affiliate links. Where you make a purchase after following one, we may receive a commission from the retailer. This is at no cost to you and does not affect the price you pay.

Commission does not influence the order in which retailers are listed. Results are ordered by price, lowest first, irrespective of whether a commercial relationship exists, and placement cannot be purchased. Where a voucher code alters the effective price and therefore the ordering, this is stated on the relevant entry together with the code.

Accuracy of pricing information

Prices are obtained from retailer data feeds and are refreshed approximately daily. Prices exclude delivery charges, and retailers may change them at any time without notice to us. Retailers republish their feeds at differing intervals; where a price is more than fourteen days old this is indicated on the entry, and such prices are never used to determine the lowest price shown for a product.

The information on this site should therefore be treated as a guide. You should confirm the final price on the retailer’s own website before purchasing. We take reasonable care to ensure accuracy but do not warrant it.

Price history

Price history is compiled from the same retailer feeds, from the date on which we began tracking a given product. It reflects list prices and does not account for voucher discounts. Gaps may occur where a retailer has ceased publishing data. Historical prices are provided as a matter of record and are not an indication of future pricing.

Acceptable use

• You may not scrape this site or subject it to automated or excessive load.
• You may not republish our price history data as your own.
• You may only create price alerts for email addresses you control.

Liability

This site is provided on an “as is” basis. We accept no liability for purchases made from retailers, for pricing information that proves inaccurate or out of date, or for the content or conduct of any third-party site to which we link. Nothing on this site constitutes advice. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected and are exercisable against the retailer from whom you purchase.
