Roughneck Wood Grenade® Splitting Wedge 1.6kg (4 lb) 65-504/002

The Roughneck Wood Grenade Splitting Wedge is a heavy-duty log splitting tool designed to split logs efficiently in four directions at once. Its distinctive diamond-shaped cross section delivers superior splitting performance compared to conventional wedges, making it ideal for tradespeople and contractors processing firewood or preparing timber. Weighing 1.6kg with a 190mm length, this splitting wedge features a spherical striking face that ensures a centred and efficient blow when used with a sledge hammer. The sharp point allows for easy starting penetration into logs, while integral notches prevent the wedge from popping out during splitting operations. This design makes it particularly effective for splitting seasoned hardwood and larger diameter logs where maximum force distribution is required. Suitable for professional groundskeepers, tree surgeons, and contractors working with timber, the Wood Grenade provides a robust solution for high-volume log splitting tasks. The tool is supplied loose and ready for immediate use with any standard sledge hammer.
