Water is fed slowly to the cutting edge during grinding, preventing frictional heat and stopping the wheel from overheating, while the corrosion-resistant water tank helps cool the piece being worked on. Four rubber feet dampen vibration and keep the unit steady during use. It comes supplied with a slow-turning, fine-grained wet grinding wheel (220 grit) and a leather honing wheel for removing grinding burrs and polishing, along with an angle gauge.
