About this product
This 32mm bevel edge chisel is suited to heavier-duty woodworking, such as cutting wide mortises, cleaning up large joints and removing significant amounts of waste timber, as well as general site carpentry. The bevelled edge allows access into tight corners and fine work.
The blade is drop-forged from chrome vanadium steel, hardened and tempered so the cutting edge stays sharp for longer. It is ground to 25°, increasing to 30° at the leading cutting edge. A honing guide with an oil, diamond or whetstone is recommended for sharpening.
The handle has an anti-slip soft grip coating for comfort and a steel striking cap to protect it when struck with a mallet or occasional hammer blow.
