About this product

The Footprint 1860 Grooved Plugging Chisel is a masonry tool used to remove mortar and cement from between brick and block work, making it useful for pointing preparation and general repointing or masonry repair. It is forged from a single piece of carbon steel, hardened and tempered for strength and durability.

The cutting edge is wider than the blade body and features a centre groove that allows rapid clearance of debris during use, improving efficiency when removing mortar from joints. The domed head is designed to resist splintering from repeated hammer strikes, helping the tool last longer.

The chisel measures 265mm in length with a 16mm blade width, and is made in Sheffield, Britain.
