About this product
The 3mm Marples M444 Blue Chip bevel edge chisel is the narrowest size in the range, suited to fine detail work, precision joinery and intricate restoration where a very small cutting edge is needed, such as inlay work, cleaning out small recesses and detailed carving.
It has a high-impact round blue plastic handle, contoured for control and radiused for a comfortable grip, designed to be used with a mallet and to absorb occasional hammer blows. The bevel-edged blade is a one-piece forged, bolster-fitted design made from carbon steel, tempered along its full length and hardened up to the last 25mm for a longer working life. The edge is annealed so it is slow to blunt yet easy to sharpen.
