About this product
This set of four IRWIN Marples M444 Blue Chip bevel edge chisels covers sizes 6, 12, 18 and 25mm (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1in), suiting a range of carpentry and joinery tasks such as mortising, paring and fitting hinges. Each blade has a solid one-piece forged bolster and is made from carbon steel, tempered along its full length and hardened up to the last 25mm for a longer working life. The edge is annealed so it stays sharp longer while remaining easy to resharpen. The high-impact blue plastic handles are round and contoured for control, with a radiused profile for comfortable grip. They are designed for use with a mallet and can withstand occasional hammer blows.
