About this product
The Stanley FatMax 0-16-251 is a 6mm bevel edge wood chisel with a thru tang construction, suited to precision work such as cleaning out tight mortises, trimming hinge recesses and fine paring. The blade measures 125mm and is made from ball bearing grade steel (EN31/chrome alloy), fully ground and finished for sharpness and good edge retention.
The handle is a shatterproof polymer with an ergonomic soft grip, offering control and comfort, and is said to be 50% stronger than the previous DynaGrip Pro handle thanks to a friction welded bolster. A steel striking cap allows use with a hammer for extra force, while a full-length blade guard protects the edge and improves safety. The bevelled blade design helps access tight corners and acute angles.
