About this product
This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has an 18mm blade width, suited to broader cutting work such as mortising, door hanging and general carpentry or joinery tasks. It has an overall length of 135mm, giving useful reach and leverage for medium to large-scale jobs. The blade is made from ball bearing grade EN31 steel, fully ground and finished for sharpness and edge retention. Thru tang construction with a friction welded bolster gives a handle said to be 50% stronger than the previous Dyna Grip Pro Chisel in side impact testing. The steel striking cap allows use with a hammer for extra cutting force. The handle is a shatterproof polymer with an ergonomic soft grip, designed for comfort and control and resistant to most solvents. A full length blade guard is included for safety.
