About this product
This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has a 38mm blade width and an overall length of 165mm, suited to substantial timber work, heavy-duty carpentry and larger joinery tasks where extra leverage and reach are useful. It uses thru tang construction with a friction welded bolster, giving a handle said to be 50% stronger on side impact tests than the previous Dyna Grip Pro chisel. The shatterproof polymer handle has an ergonomic soft grip for control and comfort, and the steel striking cap can be struck with a hammer for extra cutting force. The body resists most solvents. The blade is made from ball bearing grade EN31 steel to ISO standard, fully ground and finished for sharpness and edge retention. A full length blade guard is included for safety.
