Makita DCS553ZJ 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Metal Saw 150mm No Batteries No Battery Charger Case

The Makita DCS553ZJ is a 150mm cordless metal cutting saw engineered for professional tradespeople who require precision and portability on site. Part of Makita's LXT 18v system, this brushless metal saw delivers a maximum cutting depth of 57.5mm, making it ideal for cutting steel profiles, metal conduit, and structural components. The tool arrives in a Type 3 Makpac connector case with a TCT blade, hex key, rip fence, and safety goggles included. Built around a brushless motor for extended runtime and longevity, the DCS553ZJ incorporates Automatic Torque Drive Technology that intelligently adjusts cutting speed according to load conditions. This ensures optimal performance whether working with thinner sheet metal or heavier gauge steel. At just 2.8-3.1kg, the compact design reduces user fatigue during overhead work or extended cutting sessions, whilst the stainless steel base plate provides durability and smooth material contact. Safety and convenience features are comprehensive throughout. The electric brake delivers rapid stopping for enhanced safety, whilst the lock-off lever prevents accidental activation. An integrated LED job light illuminates the cutting line in poorly lit environments, and the built-in dust collection system with accessible cap helps maintain a cleaner work area. The retractable joist hook allows for secure temporary storage, and on-tool hex key storage ensures blade changes can be completed without searching for additional equipment.
