This Bessey all-steel screw clamp offers a 400mm capacity and 120mm throat depth, making it suitable for typical furniture and cabinet-making work as well as general assembly tasks. The fixed arm and pressure plate are produced and tempered from a single piece of Bessey steel, while the sliding arm is forged tempered steel, giving the tool resistance to distortion under heavy loads.
A surface-coated acme-thread spindle runs smoothly without binding, and the pressure plates can be changed without tools. The handle is a high-quality two-component plastic design for comfortable operation.
The rail measures 25 x 12mm for rigidity, and the clamp weighs 2.00kg, making it manageable for extended or on-site use. Clamping force is rated at up to 5,000N by one source and 6,000N by another.
