These DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bits are high-speed steel bits designed for drilling steel, both alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm, and are also effective in wood and plastic. They suit portable or stationary drilling and are particularly suited to sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed. A patented split pilot point design eliminates walking or slipping on contact, giving precise hole placement, while precision-ground flutes aid chip removal and reduce friction and heat. Three flat sides on the shank prevent slipping in the chuck, a tapered web reduces breakage, and a gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating. Permanent size markings above the shank aid visibility. This pack contains 10 bits with a tip diameter of 10.5mm, working length of 84mm and overall length of 133mm.
