About this product

The Dormer A002 is a HSS jobber drill bit with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, sold in a pouch pack of 2. It has a tip diameter of 3.50mm, a working length of 39mm and an overall length of 70mm. The pointed web and fluted tip design allows efficient cutting with reduced axial force and accurate centring, while the web improves strength, rigidity and feed. The flutes aid chip evacuation, and an optimised helix angle gives greater stiffness across the diameter range. The bright body suits ductile materials, and the TiN coating resists flank and crater wear while reducing friction, allowing increased cutting speeds. The bit is marked in-situ for easy identification and conforms to DIN 338 with a 118° point angle, suitable for hand-held and machine drilling.
