About this product
The Dormer A002 is a jobber drill bit made from HSS with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, giving good durability and heat resistance for repeated use. It suits hand-held or machine drilling and is designed to create accurate holes in metal, wood, plastic and other materials. The pointed web and fluted tip design allows efficient cutting with reduced axial force and accurate centring, while the web improves strength, rigidity and feed. The flutes aid chip evacuation, and the optimised helix angle gives greater stiffness. The TiN coating resists flank and crater wear and lowers friction, allowing increased cutting speeds, with a 118° point angle to DIN 338. This version has a tip diameter of 6.80mm, working length of 69mm and overall length of 109mm, supplied singly in a pouch pack with visible in-situ size marking.
