The Dormer A777 is a 4.00mm heavy-duty jobber drill bit made from high-speed cobalt steel (HSS-E, 8% cobalt), giving good hardness and heat resistance for demanding drilling on tougher, higher-tensile materials. It has an overall length of 75mm and a working length of 43mm.
It features a 135° split point geometry (to NAS 907 Aerospace Specification type P3), which reduces walking and gives precise starts where drilling generates greater heat. The bit has a standard helix, right-hand spiral with a thick web, a bronze surface finish, and conforms to DIN 338/BS328/ISO 235.
