About this product
This 38mm flat bit is the largest in Faithfull's range, suited to substantial boring work such as large soil pipes, ducting and heavy-duty fixture mounting. It measures 151mm in overall length and is forged from a single piece of carbon steel, heat-treated for strength and durability. It bores cleanly and efficiently through all types of timber, with or against the grain, and also performs well on MDF, plastics and plasterboard. A grooved tip and extended spurs create a clean cutting area and increase boring speed. The shank is a non-slip 1/4in hexagonal type with a locking mechanism, compatible with adaptors or chucks that have a quick-release feature, allowing secure fitting and quick bit changes.
