This 20mm Forstner bit from Faithfull is suited to larger installation work such as pipe collars, cable routing and recessed locks or latches, making it useful for door hanging, plumbing and electrical jobs where clean, flat-bottomed holes are needed.
It is manufactured from forged, hardened steel for durability, with an ultra-sharp spur that prevents the bit from walking on the material for accurate positioning. Steep, angled cutting edges produce smooth, flat holes and clean chisel-like curls, while the centre point assists with straight, angled and overlapping holes.
Suitable for softwood, hardwood, veneered wood and non-laminated chipboard, it fits standard 8mm chucks on drill drivers and bench drills.
