About this product

This 3mm drill bit is made from M35 HSSE grade steel with 5% cobalt content, giving increased heat resistance for drilling metal. It has an overall length of 77mm and a working length of 33mm, with a 1/4in quick-change shank suited to impact drivers. The tip design features 7 cutting edges and 3 peaks, giving self-centring accuracy and faster drilling than conventional split point bits, with less burr formation. The protruding centre tip acts as a pilot point, helping to stop the drill from wandering and improving hole placement. Produced to DIN 338 and DIN 3126-E6.3 standards, it is suited to heavy-duty use across alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium alloy and carbon fibre composites, offering longer tool life than standard bits in mild steel.
