About this product

This Irwin masonry drill bit measures 6.0mm in diameter with a 160mm overall length, suited to deeper drilling through cavity walls and thick masonry while remaining compatible with standard 6mm wall plugs. It is designed for fast, efficient drilling in brickwork, concrete and breeze block, particularly when used with cordless drills. A single flute design aids dust removal for improved drilling speed, while the pressed diamond-ground carbide tip gives aggressive cutting performance and is said to last 20% longer than previous Irwin masonry bits. The body is made from chrome vanadium with high carbon content, allowing greater hardening for added strength and rupture resistance. Irwin state the bit drills up to 60% faster than competitive alternatives.
