About this product
This Irwin Cordless Multi-Purpose Drill Bit measures 5.5mm in diameter with a 160mm overall length, giving extra reach for deeper drilling into thicker materials. It's designed specifically for cordless, low-speed drilling and is said to offer around 10% extra battery life per charge compared with standard bits.
A four-facet ground carbide tip provides lower drilling pressure and improved centring, keeping accuracy consistent even at greater depths. This allows combined drilling tasks, such as going through a timber frame into brickwork behind, using just one bit.
It is suitable for a range of materials including brickwork, ceramic tiles, breeze block, wood, drywall, gypsum board, limestone, slate, marble, eternite and plastics or reinforced plastics. Flute length is 109mm.
