These Irwin HSS Cobalt drill bits are designed for drilling stainless steel and other high alloys, suiting fine metalworking and electronics work where precision matters. Supplied as a pack of 2, each bit has a 1.5mm diameter, 18mm working length and 40mm overall length.

The body is made from HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which improves red hardness (heat resistance) and extends tool life when drilling demanding materials. A 135° split point grinding gives accurate centring and reduced drilling pressure, often removing the need for centre punching. The industrial quality ground flute supports accurate drilling and efficient chip removal, and the bits have a golden tempered surface finish reflecting the heat treatment process.
