About this product
This Irwin 8.0mm HSS Cobalt drill bit suits larger diameter drilling in stainless steel and other high alloys, commonly used for M8 clearance holes and medium to heavy-duty fabrication work. The body is made from HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which improves red hardness (heat resistance) and extends the bit's life when drilling demanding materials.
It features 135° split point grinding for accurate centring without walking and reduced drilling pressure, along with an industrial quality ground flute for high accuracy and fast chip removal. The golden tempered surface finish reflects the heat treatment applied.
Overall length is 117mm, with a working length of 75mm.
