Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit 8 x 400mm 10502831

The Irwin Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit in 8mm x 400mm provides versatile performance for a wide range of drilling applications in timber. This popular size is perfect for creating holes for standard fixings, dowels, and cable routing through deep joists and wall studs where extended reach is essential. Featuring the patented Blue Groove technology, this 8mm bit cuts rather than scrapes timber, achieving drilling speeds up to 4 times faster than conventional flat bits. The 400mm extended shank length enables you to drill through multiple timber members or reach awkward locations that standard bits simply cannot access. The parabolic scoop design efficiently removes wood chips, maintaining clean cutting action and preventing the bit from binding. Constructed with a 10% larger diameter shank for enhanced strength and an improved 17° relief angle, this bit delivers smooth, controlled drilling performance that professional tradespeople can rely upon for demanding daily use.
