About this product
This plug-in safety adaptor fits into a standard UK mains socket, with the appliance then plugged into it. It continuously monitors the power supply for earth leakage faults and cuts off power within 40 milliseconds of detecting a fault, fast enough to prevent a fatal electric shock. It is suited to portable electrical tools such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and drills, where wiring may work loose, cords may become damaged, or damp conditions increase the risk of shock. It works with any 240V appliance and is particularly recommended for power tools, including outdoor use. Installation requires no wiring, simply plugging in. It is not suitable for use with pond pumps or other pond equipment, as removing these from the circuit leaves the installation unprotected.
