About this product
This 454g (16oz) ball pein hammer is the lightest in the Roughneck range, suited to precision metalwork, jewellery making and other detailed shaping tasks. The lighter head allows extended use with less fatigue while still giving effective striking force for light to medium metalworking work.
The head is drop-forged from hardened and tempered steel, with chamfered striking edges to prevent chipping and protect the workpiece. The solid fibreglass core handle is bonded to the head with epoxy for durability and shock absorption, and features an air-cushioned grip to improve comfort during repetitive use.
A lanyard hole in the handle base allows the hammer to be tethered securely when working at height.
