About this product
The Thor 01-022 is a Size 5 hide hammer weighing 3275g (7.1/4lb), with a 70mm diameter face. It has a malleable cast iron head fitted with compressed water buffalo hide faces on a wooden handle, designed to absorb shock and deliver a firm but controlled strike without marking the material being worked. Being the heaviest in the range, it suits heavy-duty applications such as heavy metalwork, large-scale assembly and industrial workshop use, while still offering surface protection and reduced noise. The hide faces are replaceable as they wear, and the hardwood handle is designed to reduce vibration and fatigue during use.
