About this product

The Thor 03-214 is a size 3 Copper & Hide Hammer weighing 1600g, with a 44mm diameter head. It has a malleable/cast iron head fitted with two interchangeable faces: one of 99.99% pure electrolytic copper and one of compressed water buffalo hide, both replaceable when worn. The copper face gives harder strikes with maximum impact and is non-sparking, making it suitable where steel-on-steel contact would be a safety risk. The hide face absorbs recoil and dampens sound, giving a firm strike that won't mark finished surfaces, useful for delicate or noise-sensitive work. It is fitted with a wooden handle designed to reduce vibration and recoil for comfort and control. Suited to automotive, general engineering, rail, aerospace and metalworking tasks where both heavy blows and surface protection are needed.
