About this product
The Thor A312 is a soft-faced hammer designed for engineering tasks where a heavy blow is needed without damaging the workpiece. It has a malleable iron head fitted with two cylindrical, replaceable ductile aluminium faces and a traditional wooden handle. The iron head provides the weight and striking force, while the aluminium faces absorb impact and protect the surface being struck, even in a relatively small area. It is used as an alternative to copper-faced hammers for assembly, repair and maintenance work in general engineering and mechanical fitting. This size 2 version has 38mm (1½in) diameter faces and weighs 950g (34oz).
