The Thor 07-412 Thorex is a medium-weight plastic-faced hammer weighing 675g, with a 38mm diameter head. It has a chrome-plated zinc head fitted with orange nylon faces and a plastic grip handle, offering comfortable handling and shock absorption compared with a wooden handle. The faces are one-piece moulded, screw-in and designed to wear, with no metal pegs or inserts that could damage the workpiece. They can be replaced by hand without tools, and alternative faces of different hardness, colour coded, are also available. It is a multi-purpose striking tool suited to general assembly work, including engineering, furniture assembly, shopfitting, partitioning, double glazing and injection moulding dies.
