About this product
The Thor 11-710 Thorex Nylon Hammer is a 445g, 32mm head hammer suited to general assembly and maintenance work, including engineering, furniture making, shopfitting, partitioning, double glazing and injection moulding tasks. It combines a chrome-plated zinc head, which adds weight and corrosion resistance, with a lightweight plastic handle fitted with a rubber grip to reduce slippage during use. It is fitted as standard with two screw-in white nylon faces, made from impact-resistant Nylon 6/6 (Shore D57-61), designed to wear and be replaced by hand. The faces are one-piece moulded with no metal pegs or inserts that could damage the workpiece, and have a shoulder for extra strength against misdirected blows. Serrations in the head help prevent the faces coming loose during use. Alternative colour-coded faces of different hardness are also available.
