About this product
This is a Bahco 150mm (6in) hand file with a bastard (coarse) cut, giving approximately 26 teeth per 25mm for a high rate of material removal. It is designed for filing flat surfaces, sharp corners and shoulders, as well as for deburring work.
The file has a double cut on both sides with one safe edge, allowing work in corners without marking adjacent surfaces. Its sides are parallel with a slight taper in thickness. It is suited to work on high-alloy tool steels and is also useful for sharpening heavy implements.
The file is tanged, for secure fitting of a handle, and the 150mm length offers a balance between control and reach for general metalworking tasks.
