About this product
This is a No.2 taper mouth shovel from Faithfull, built for agricultural, groundworks and construction use. It's made from manganese steel for strength, with a solid forged blade and socket that's correctly tempered and epoxy coated to resist rust. The tubular steel shaft is welded directly to the socket, giving a strong, smooth join without weak points. The blade features a heavy-duty treaded top edge, providing a comfortable, secure foothold that protects footwear and helps prevent slipping when digging. It's fitted with an MYD-type handle, incorporating a metal grip and wooden cross dowel for a comfortable hold during extended use. Blade size is 300 x 240-215mm, with a 700mm shaft, making it suited to digging in confined spaces and breaking into compacted ground.
