About this product
This Faithfull Voltage Detector is a pen-sized, non-contact tester used to check for AC voltage in outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, wires and cables. It also helps locate breaks in power cables and wiring, making it useful for electricians and contractors carrying out routine checks.
To use it, hold the detector by its body and place the white end cap near or onto the cable or fitting being tested. The tip lights up red when voltage is present, giving a clear visual indication without the need for direct contact. It detects voltage from 50 to 1,000 VAC, at frequencies of 50-500Hz, and is rated CAT II 1000V / CAT III 600V.
The tester has a pen-shaped body with a pocket clip for easy carrying, and comes supplied with 2 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries. It should always be tested on a known live circuit before use, and is not intended for contact testing.
