About this product
The Faithfull Plumber's Soldering Mat measures 250 x 250mm and is a high-temperature, asbestos-free protective mat designed for plumbing and soldering work. It suits DIY and light trade use, including soft soldering and general plumbing tasks, and is compatible with both butane and propane gas. The mat withstands temperatures up to 550°C, protecting surfaces from burn marks and heat damage. One side should always face the flame, keeping the reverse side clean against the protected surface. For prolonged heat exposure, using two mats layered together is recommended, and if the mat's surface begins to glow, it should be repositioned so the flame heats a fresh area.
