About this product
The Faithfull Honing Guide is a precision tool for restoring sharp cutting edges to chisels and plane irons, used together with an oil, water or diamond sharpening stone. It accommodates straight-edged and bevel-edged chisels as well as plane irons ranging from 3mm to 67mm in width, making it suitable for general workshop use. The guide has dual jaw positions for accurate bevel angles. For chisels, the inner jaws are used: a 30mm blade projection gives a 30-degree angle, while 40mm gives a 25-degree angle. For plane irons, the outer jaws are used: a 38mm projection gives a 30-degree angle, while 50mm gives a 25-degree angle. This setup allows repeatable, consistent bevels across a range of blade sizes.
