This Faithfull Button Magnet has a diameter of 25.4mm and height of 16.0mm, offering a pull power of 3.2kg. It is made from Alnico, giving good resistance to corrosion and allowing use in temperatures up to 500°C.
The north and south poles sit on the same face, separated by a slot to help optimise the magnetic field. A mounting hole is provided for fixing, though it should not be recessed into ferrous metal as this would short circuit the magnetism.
