About this product
This 32.5mm button magnet from Faithfull is the largest in the range, giving maximum holding power for heavy-duty work. It suits work holding tasks such as welding, sign making and other industrial fabrication where strong magnetic clamping is needed, as well as reed switch operation.
It is made from Alnico, giving good corrosion resistance and allowing operation at temperatures up to 500°C. The north and south poles sit on the same face, separated by a slot, for improved magnetic field distribution and holding strength. A mounting hole is provided for fixing, though it must not be recessed into ferrous metals as this would short-circuit the magnetism.
