About this product
The Faithfull Mainstester Screwdriver Long is a voltage tester for safely checking live electrical circuits, useful for electricians and contractors needing to reach recessed terminals or confined installations. It has a 127mm (5in) blade for extended reach, with the handle, pocket clip and blade all insulated for safety, and is made from virtually unbreakable, shatterproof ABS.
It is built to VDE specification 0680-Part 6-4.77. To test a circuit, place the blade tip on the contact and press a thumb against the metal contact beside the neon viewing window; the neon bulb lights if the contact is live. The neon should first be checked on a known live circuit, and the uninsulated part of the blade should never be touched while testing. A pocket clip allows convenient storage.
