About this product
The Faithfull Mains Tester is a compact screwdriver-style voltage tester for checking whether electrical circuits are live before work begins. It is made from virtually unbreakable, shatterproof ABS, with the handle, pocket clip and blade insulated for safety, and is manufactured to VDE specification 0680-Part 6-4.77. To use, the blade tip is placed on the electrical contact while a thumb presses the metal contact beside the neon viewing window; the neon bulb lights if the contact is live. The blade measures 57mm, giving a compact tool suited to everyday carry, and it includes a pocket clip for easy access. Before use, the neon bulb should be checked on a known live circuit to confirm it is working, and the uninsulated part of the blade should never be touched while testing.
