About this product
The Faithfull No.80 cabinet scraper is a hand tool for smoothing wood to a fine finish. It removes fine shavings rather than dust, so it does not clog the grain, making it well suited to tricky areas such as knots, burrs and crossed grain, as well as stripping old finishes from large surfaces where abrasives can be less controllable. The body is fine grey cast iron with a machined base, fitted with a 70mm wide, 1.8mm thick blade and wing handles for comfortable extended use. A thumbscrew bends the blade slightly to alter the cut from coarse to fine, and the blade can be resharpened on a stone and re-burred with a burnishing tool. A replacement blade is available (FAISCRAPERRB).
