About this product
This Faithfull cabinet scraper is a flat, rectangular tool for producing a fine finish on solid wood and veneers. It is particularly useful for smoothing knots, burrs and crossed grain, and for removing old surface finishes. Rather than producing dust like an abrasive, it removes fine shavings, which helps avoid clogging the grain. The cut is controlled by finger pressure, bowing out the blade to vary the curve and localise the cutting action where needed, giving good control on delicate or veneered surfaces. Made from C60 spring steel, it measures 150mm x 60mm and can be resharpened with a standard file, with the burr turned using a burnishing tool.
