About this product
These 160mm diagonal insulation strippers from Knipex combine wire stripping, cutting and gripping in one tool, aimed at electricians and electrical contractors. The insulation is VDE tested for safe use on live circuits, and the tool conforms to DIN EN / IEC 60900.
Made from vanadium electric special tool steel, forged and oil-hardened with a chrome-plated finish, the pliers feature induction-hardened precision blades hardened to around 60 HRC for lasting sharpness. A high leverage joint design increases cutting capacity while reducing effort, and flat round jaws with serrated edges give a secure grip on the workpiece.
Precision stripping holes are provided for single (solid) conductors of 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm², suitable for terminating cables in sockets, switches and other accessories. Long tips allow fine cutting work in confined spaces such as consumer units.
