The Monument 257C is a compact gas test gauge measuring 300mm (12in), designed for testing pipework installations for leaks before gas is introduced, and for checking and setting gas pressures on domestic and commercial appliances. Its shorter length makes it easy to carry and fit into a toolbox, useful for engineers working in confined spaces.
Constructed from tough plastic with a plastic U-tube design, it has a clear millibar scale (30 millibar capacity) that adjusts for zeroing the water level. The extruded cover slides off and clips over the base, allowing the gauge to stand vertically during use, while a hanging tab allows it to be hung from suitable protrusions for hands-free operation. It is made in Britain.
