About this product
The Monument 455E is a professional tap reseating tool used to re-cut the worn seats of taps and stopcocks without disconnecting them from the pipework, reducing disruption during repair work. It fits 1/2in and 3/4in BS1010 new series and BS5412 flat and bevelled seats. The cutters are case hardened for durability, and a feedscrew mechanism allows fine adjustment for accurate cutting. All parts are interchangeable, aiding maintenance and long-term use. Parallel bushes are included for taps with recessed internal threads that would otherwise prevent tapered cones from entering. The kit includes 17, 19, 20 and 25mm (11/16in, 3/4in, 13/16in, 1in) flat cutters, 11/16in and 13/16in (17mm and 20mm) bevelled cutters, and two double bushes, covering common UK tap configurations for flat and bevelled seat reseating.
