About this product
The Monument 460U is a professional tap reseating tool used to re-cut the worn seats of taps and stopcocks without disconnecting the pipework. It fits old series 1/2in and 3/4in BS1010 flat seats, restoring proper sealing where wear has caused dripping. Tapered cones screw into the top of the tap body, provided the body is threaded to the top; for taps with recessed threads, a parallel bush series should be used instead. A feedscrew allows fine adjustment of the cutter depth for accurate refacing of the seat. The kit includes four case-hardened flat cutters (17, 19, 20 and 25mm / 11/16in, 3/4in, 13/16in, 1in) and two tapered cones, with all parts fully interchangeable.
