About this product
The Roughneck Gauging Trowel is a 180mm (7in) hand tool suited to bricklayers, plasterers and general builders for mixing and gauging small batches of mortar, plaster and similar materials. It is drop forged from a single piece of Chrome Vanadium steel, with the chromium content improving wear resistance and the vanadium adding toughness and flexibility, then hardened and tempered for a balance of strength and rigidity. The tang angle and rise are designed to give a balanced feel in the hand, reducing wrist fatigue and helping with speed and control during extended use. It has a soft-grip handle for comfort, a soft finger guard that can be trimmed off if not wanted, and a replaceable end cap to extend the tool's working life.
