About this product
This Roughneck long-handled drainage shovel is designed for digging deep, narrow trenches and holes in demanding ground conditions such as clay, compacted soil and root-ridden earth. It suits groundwork tasks including laying drains, pipes and cable channels, as well as digging post and sign holes. The 160mm blade is sharpened for effective cutting, with treads to allow greater foot pressure and reduce slippage.
The 1460mm fibreglass shaft has a contoured grip, giving increased leverage and allowing a more comfortable, upright digging position. The blade is made from heavy-duty carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant, tumble lacquered finish, and connects to the handle via a Power Ring socket with steel-reinforced plug for a stronger joint.
