About this product

The Stanley 1-83-068 MaxSteel is a heavy-duty engineers bench vice with a 150mm (6 inch) jaw width, suited to larger workpieces and demanding tasks such as metalworking, fabrication and automotive repairs. It is made from cast iron for strength and durability, weighs 14kg, and offers a clamping force of 2200kg with a throat depth of 105mm. The base bolts directly to a workbench via three fixing holes for a stable, secure setup, and swivels and locks to allow positioning of the workpiece for a safer working angle. Roll-formed screw threads give smooth, durable operation, while chrome-plated hardware provides resistance to corrosion.
